All positions are located in Charleston, South Carolina

Performs ROUTINE production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.

Top 3-5 Technical/Software Skills needed to perform this role/job?
• Install various parts and assemblies such as landing gear, aircraft control surfaces, exterior panels, carpets, blankets, roller trays/ball mats, stowbins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, lavatories, galleys, doors, and seats.
• Install various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts.
• Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers.

 

Extensions and permanent conversions are based primarily on attendance, performance, punctuality, and safety adherence. ***Eligibility requirements for relocation bonus will be discussed during interview.***

  • 3-7 Years of aviation maintenance experience - $32.50/Hour (1 year contract)
  • 7+ Years of aviation maintenance experience - $38/Hour (1 year contract)
  • Contract extensions and permanent conversions are very common but not guaranteed

Responsibilities:

  • Aircraft mechanics perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, electrical equipment and accessories using manual operations.
  • Aircraft mechanics will be required to attend and pass a training classes. Failure of training may be cause for assignment termination. 9 to 10 weeks training required
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
  • Aircraft maintenance experience includes structures, systems, electrical, interiors
  • Aircraft mechanics must be able to work any shift assigned


Physical demands (if any):
• Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
• Carry/Lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.

 

8-10 Weeks of Training
Please note - These positions are variable shifts, contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.
