Assembler B
Job Description Summary
The Assembler performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
Managers are currently looking for Assembler candidates with aviation experience or graduates from an aviation school.
Winter graduates of aeronautical programs (PIA, Embry Riddle, etc) will be considered and selected candidates will be scheduled to start after graduation date
Shifts: The Assembler positions are variable shifts, contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.
100% Onsite.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Aerospace systems experience, including hydraulic, ICS, PECS, duct installation, IFE, interior decorative repair, waste, and potable water systems.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, engineering dispositions, and instructions.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of relevant programs.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in elevated and confined spaces.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds (occasional lifting of 21-35 pounds), bend and twist at the waist, walk, crawl, crouch, stand, kneel, reach, and climb/balance.
- Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
- Experience in handling, using, and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary training certifications.
1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
Experience understanding and interpreting detailed written and verbal work instructions and processes.
Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, etc.
Must have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned task/work.
Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd )
Experience with aircraft structural parts fabrication, assembly processes and procedures
Experience with conventional lathe, milling, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools
Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
Additional Job Description:
Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds.
Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, twisting at the waist and walking.
Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting),
Capable of drilling, reaming, filling, removing and installing fasteners, Shimming, accurately measuring, and documenting data.
Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting)
Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, etc.
Must have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned task/work.
Successfully completing training OJT is a contingency.
Must present a valid, unexpired photo ID and an original document that provides proof of US Person Status (per ECCVF) at time of badging to obtain badge
