NDT / ICC Inspector

Job Description:

We are seeking a Non Destructive Testing Technician / ICC Structural Steel Inspector for a well-established engineering firm located in Charleston.   Work is mostly done in the Tricounty region, with limited overnight travel.  

This role requires experience working on projects in the construction industry (although they do also have industrial clients as well).    

The successful candidate will visit job sites to perform testing and evaluation of structural steel products used in vertical construction and other applications.   This includes visual inspections, report writing, and quality control implementation.   This role requires an individual to be highly detail-oriented and able to work independently as a representative of the company to clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and more.

A company truck is provided for transportation to the job site, as well as a complete benefits package.

Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in quality control and testing
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and Industry Software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ASNT Level II Certifications in MT, PT, RT & UT
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• ICC Structural Steel Inspector & Bolting Special Inspector
• ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector
