We are currently looking for a Senior Data Architect to join the team in Seattle, WA.
As a prospective Support Integration Specialist candidate, you will love data and understand how it’s used to drive businesses forward through the collection, conditioning, governing and application. You must have experience in large scale digital enterprises and understands how to work cross functionally across the enterprise to recognize opportunities and constraints in building and delivering a successful data program.
The Support Integration Specialist will lead activities to define and develop data strategy, identify technologies that work best to address different use cases. Leads the identification of design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to data requirements. Incorporates architecture functions into software development lifecycle. Leads the development and configuration management of architecture views and models. Assesses of feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. Performs trade-off analyses. Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments. Drafts data and information management products and service standards. Assesses impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle. Collaborate and work with development team members. Coaches and mentors other team members.

Data Architecture:
You will love technology and its ability to drive the data ecosystem. You’ve heard the phrase “Data is the new oil”. Now you get to develop the pumps to mine and refine it. You will have experience in dealing with highly distributed products at a global scale and develop the technical roadmaps to ensure that we have an integrated plan to support the growing trends for personalization of training technologies, the optimization of operations and virtuous loop of product development. You will bring with you technical expertise in having implemented systems dealing with small to big data sets and be highly knowledgeable in the ever growing services available in the cloud.
Data Governance:
• Aviation is data rich and it needs to be tamed. We need you to bring your data governance expertise to consider how we contextualize and normalize our data environment. Data models, taxonomies, MDM are all tools in your toolkit to help us develop a data governance program that will make sure that we understand our assets and those of our customers. Through the common language of data, you’ll help unite the aviation ecosystem for the current and next generation. We need you to think big, but bring practical solutions to the table

The Support Integration Specialist role is Hybrid, 3 days onsite.
Target Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 mo., possible ext.
This role DOES NOT offer relocation. Candidates in different locations, can be considered if they are near any of our locations within the US. If candidate is interested in WA, and they do not live in that area, they will need to relocate at their own expense.
Job Requirements:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8
years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
• 8+ years of demonstrable Data architecture experience, including experience with data modeling, data storage, data movement, and discovery tools to understand data structure in a clustered legacy world of intermingled systems.
• Deep knowledge of database design, data architecture and relational databases
• Experience with micro services
• Experience in Agile and DevOps
• Understanding of Cloud technologies – Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Azure, AWS,etc...
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to fail fast, learn and pivot
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience with linked data (like json-ld) and graph databases
• Experience in establishing organizational wide data standards, practices, taxonomies and enforcement
• Ability to support offshore development teams
• Experience developing community of practices to facilitate discussions with technical team to drive improvement and efficiencies.
• Experience working with technical team members and executives.
• Knowledge or experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
