Job Description:

Assembler B

 

The Assembler performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.

 

The Assembler's daily work includes:
Routing of wire harness to supports per blueprint instruction & specifications for the aerospace program.
Building connectors, splicing wires, crimping, and terminating wires.
Installing connectors to receptacles and electronic components.
Performing repairs, rework processes to incorporate authorized changes outlined by engineering instructions.

Fiber optic clean and inspection, light loss testing and installation.
Bond & Ground including CRNs, jumpers, ground stud installation & resistance testing.
Verifying installations of assemblies by team members as an “MFPP” Quality delegated MT.
Inspect to ensure First Pass Quality (FPQ) is attained per engineering drawings and specifications.
Verify and ensure FAA compliance with Quality Management System.

 

*** MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 1ST, 2ND OR 3RD SHIFT, THERE IS NO GUARENTEE THEY WILL STAY ON THE SAME SHIFT AND REQUESTING SHIFTS IS NOT AN OPTION. THEY MAY BE ON A DIFFERENT SHFIT DURING TRAINING THAN THEIR NORMAL***

Job Requirements:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

 

Must have a minimun 1 year of relevant electrical manufacturing and/or aviation experience.

Suitable candidates will have ONE year of direct Aerospace Systems Experience as a minimum requirement, and preferably have 3 years of solid Aerospace Systems Experience.

-Candidates without aerospace experience may not be considered, unless they have completed a relevant aerospace manufacturing program (ex. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Trident Technical College, Pittsburg Aeronautical Institute, etc.).

- Candidates will be required to attend and pass a training classes. Failure of training may be cause for assignment termination. 4 weeks or more of class room training initially. Training is 1st shift.

 

• Experienced in wire routing
• Experienced in wire dressing
• Experienced in wire hook ups
• Experienced in wire resistance/continuity checks
• Experienced in basic rework (basic wire repair).

 

Experience understanding and interpreting detailed written and verbal work instructions and processes.

 

Proper documentation to validate US Person Status and fulfill the requirements of the U.S. ECCVF.
