Job Description:

Equipment & Tool Engineer 2

 

The Equipment & Tool Engineer designs solutions, including alternatives for the Production System. Validates analysis of technical data, influences product engineering design and makes robotics, automation or technical recommendations to support production system integration for a aerospace products. Leads the creation and modification of equipment and tooling definition at the program level. Executes project plans, provides input to Make/Buy decisions and partners with Procurement to meet program schedule, cost and quality targets. Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements. Leads gated reviews and develops plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance and spares. Validates contractual performance milestones. The Equipment & Tool Engineer develops and implements workarounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation. Conducts studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets.

 

Shifts: 1st
The Equipment & Tool Engineer role is 100% onsite

Possible domestic travel, meetings with suppliers and tradeshows.
Possible OT opportunities.
Okay with out-of-state candidates - must relocate at own expense.
Duration: 12 months, possible FTE opportunity.

Job Requirements:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard.

 

Required Skills
• Technical skills related to industrial equipment, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting
• Project Management; lead project teams, communicate project status, provide ECDs
• Communication; sharing project status, meeting with suppliers, establishing regular project meetings with the team
• Technical writing; documenting technical requirements for industrial equipment

Preferred Skills
MS Project
