MP&P Technical Analyst 3

 

Research and Technology is seeking a Mid-Level Composite Technician (Level 3) to join our team in Tukwila, Washington.

MP&P Technical Analyst Position Responsibilities:
• Evaluates parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications.
• Analyzes failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures.
• Generates test plans, identifies and categorizes failures, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations.
• Proposes, develops and validates revisions to procedures and specifications.
• Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes.
• The MP&P Technical Analyst determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of issues with suppliers and customers.
• Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by designing, developing, fabricating, testing, evaluating and implementing new concepts and technology.
• Provides knowledge and technical consultation to internal and external customers.

 

Shifts: 1st
The MP&P Technical Analyst role is 100% onsite.
Start Time: 5 am to 7 am, flexible.
Okay with out-of-state candidates - must relocate at own expense.
Duration: 6 months, possible extension.

Job Requirements:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.)

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• 5+ years of experience as a mechanic or technician
• Good work ethic, high mechanical aptitude and knowledge of composite materials

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience working in a laboratory environment
• Hand layup experience
• Composite and metal bonding experience
• AFP equipment operation experience
• NC programming experience
• VCP programming experience
• Robot, gantry, lathe and mill operation experience
• CAMS experience
• Assembly experience
• Structural test experience
• Auto mechanic/body, construction, maintenance – Interest in learning
