Support Engineering Customer Instructional Systems Designer 3

 

Looking for a Mid-level Instructional System Designer to join our team in Seattle, WA. To enhance flight safety, this position will join a global team responsible for analyzing data-driven training requirements and designing flight training courseware focused on accepted industry standards.

The Systems Designer position will be designing effective technical training from complex and highly technical information sources.

Designs technical learning solutions to meet customer and stakeholder objectives. Researches and analyzes learning objectives and customer needs. Designs and provides recommendations to stakeholders on course structure, content, and methodologies. Completes design review process with stakeholders. Supports development of training content to meet learning objectives. Evaluates technical training effectiveness and customer feedback. Develops and assesses new instructional strategies, methods, technologies and tools related to instructional design, development, and delivery.Designs technical learning solutions to meet customer and stakeholder objectives. Describe the project/day-to-day activities they will be working on:
Lead will assign them tasks on a weekly basis. Some tasks will take longer than a week. The Systems Designer Contractor will sit in the same area as the lead. Position will also include Project status meetings, communication updates in person and over email, interviewing SME’s, get feedback on content from SME’s, times where they will be involved in tech design review.

 

Shifts: FIRST
The Systems Designer role is HYBRID.
DAYS ONSITE- 3
• On a regular basis onsite days are – Tues, Wed, Thursday

Possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

Job Requirements:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.)

 

Required Skills:
• 2- 3 years of experience in making complicated technical information clear to learners and multiple stakeholders
• 2- 3 years of experience in designing and developing training that aligns to industry procedures and regulatory requirements
• 2- 3 years of experience in translating technical knowledge from subject matter experts into learning objectives and lesson content
• 2- 3 years of experience in designing for multiple training types (for example: scripted story boards, scripted CBT, Video, classroom, simulation)
• Skill in and/or knowledge of current training development tools (for example: Captivate Storyline…)
• Ability to take proactive collaborative approach with Subject Matter Experts
• Skilled in leading and facilitating stakeholder and Subject Matter Expert design and development workshops and review meetings
• 1 + year of experience working with remote teams

Preferred Skills:
• Experience in the aviation and learning, training and development industry with strong
• network relationships.
• Flight Instruction Techniques.
• Learning Design.
• Virtual Collaboration.
• Bachelors or equivalent in Instructional Design & Develop or Education.

 

Preferred soft skills:
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools
• Ability to communicate clearly and proactively

 

Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment – OJT.
