Exciting opportunity for an Experienced Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to join our Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering organization located in Everett, WA. (Puget Sound)

The selected Systems Engineer candidate will help design, certify & support commercial airplanes by applying state-of-art reliability and maintainability engineering design, modeling and analysis principles. R&M Engineering is a key functional discipline that supports the airplane development for optimal performance, lifecycle economics & compliance to safety and airworthiness requirements.

Systems Engineer Position Responsibilities:
Use modeling, simulation and data analytics methodologies & tools including statistical and probabilistic analyses.
Serve as a technical specialist supporting other functional design groups during all stages of the airplane product development and support lifecycle.
Responsible for aiding in determining program technical performance measures (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability & maintenance cost.
Provide support in the following areas:
Design for Reliability & Safety (airplane and system design reliability requirements validation & verification, reliability requirements allocation to suppliers, failure modes, rates, effects, propagation and detection analysis, architecture & operational provisions, safety & certification analysis, certification support, reliability & durability testing).
Interaction with airplane system suppliers, business partners, airline customers, airplane development program leaders, and functional management is typical, as is a high level of communication between the rest of the R&M Engineering internal organization, program teams, and functional design areas. Team involvement and individual effort, problem solving, and managing multiple actions and assignments will be regular duties for an R&M engineer.

 

Shifts: 1st
The Systems Engineer role is 100% onsite.
Duration: 12 months, possible extension based on statement of work
Okay with out-of-state candidates - must relocate at own expense.
OT/DOT: Possible OT opportunities.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
• Bachelors of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• 8 or more years' related work experience in the reliability engineering field

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with propulsion or airplane systems
• Reliability engineering experience.
• Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) experience.
• Commercial Airplane Certification experience.
