Reliability Engineer

The Reliability Engineer will lead a collaborative effort to ensure sustained reliability, availability, and maintainability of Ridgeville plant equipment, process, and assets. You will facilitate improvement through utilization of proven reliability practices, techniques, and tools, provide technical and strategic expertise by focusing on solving equipment reliability and availability losses to enable the plant to meet its business plan and strategy. You will work closely with both Maintenance and Operations personnel in your role and be responsible for equipment performance analysis, equipment critical spare part risk assessments and identify equipment reliability improvement opportunities.

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree from an ABET-certified institution. 
  • Certification as a CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer) or CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professionals) will be an advantage. 
  • Track record of maintenance or engineering experience in a large industrial environment is a requirement. 

Salary to $123,000 plus bonus and a rich benefits plan

Process Engineer

The Process Engineer reports to the Quality Assurance Manager with the responsibility for providing the technical support needed to develop, implement, and maintain effective process and quality control methods and corresponding manufacturing procedures consistent with production and customer requirements at Showa Denko Carbon electrode manufacturing facility.  

  • BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent 
  • 3-7 years of experience in an industrial setting in an engineering or supervisory role

Project Engineer – Electrical

The Electrical Project Engineer reports to the Plant Engineering Manager with the responsibility for providing electrical engineering design and project management at the Showa Denko Carbon electrode manufacturing facility. The position includes project management/engineering for capital projects (including project requirements, specification/design/integration, installation, checkout/startup); major equipment modification for reliability improvement; equipment rebuilds; and limited technical support for the plant Maintenance Department.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering design/integration and/or project management experience
  • Knowledge/experience of project management methodology such as PMBOK or similar
  • Experience in heavy industry preferred
  • Experience in PLCs including Allen Bradley, Siemens, and CTI preferred.

Project Manager 

Together with the Engineering manager, develop effective methodologies and Project management plans for a broad range of projects, in terms of budget and scope. Manage projects through the appropriate application and integration of project management processes, enabling the organization to execute Capex projects effectively and efficiently.

Project Engineer – Mechanical

The Mechanical Project Engineer reports to the Plant Engineering Manager with the responsibility for providing mechanical engineering design and project management at Showa Denko Carbon electrode manufacturing facility. The position includes project management/engineering for capital projects (from project requirements to specification and design to installation); major equipment modification for reliability improvement; equipment rebuilds; and limited technical support for the plant Maintenance Department.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering design and/or project management experience
  • Knowledge/experience of project management methodology such as PMBOK or similar
  • Experience in heavy industry preferred
  • Working experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, material handling systems, and/or thermal oil systems preferred
  • AutoCAD and Inventor proficiency
